Huiling Hu was born in Inner Mongolia, China, in 1981. She received the Ph.D. degree in glaucoma from the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University, in 2012. She did postdoctoral fellowship (2006–2008) in the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and was a Visiting Scholar at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, from 2018 to 2019. She is currently an Associate Chief Physician with the Shenzhen Eye Hospital. Her area of interests include neuroprotection in glaucomatous optic neuropathy and microstructure alterations in multiple sclerosis.
