•Introduced cultivars can flourish in Wudu China where is beyond the Mediterranean.•Lower cold resistance and olive fruit production in Wudu than the Mediterranean.•Good oil quality but higher linolenic acid and lower polyphenols and MUFA/PUFA.•Arbosana was the max potential one especially in no lasting-frost and lack-water site.
