Design and Analysis of Triple Split Ring Resonator-Based Polarization-Insensitive, Multiband Metamaterial Absorber
International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Smart Communication 2019Algorithms for Intelligent Systems(2019)
摘要
The design of a simple, multiband, and polarization-insensitive metamaterial absorber (MMA) is a very challenging task for the researchers. Therefore, in this article, a critical analysis of a triple split ring resonator (TSRR) based MMA is proposed at X-band and Ku-band. A critical analysis of design variables is carried out for optimal design of the MMA. The structure results in a multiband frequency response in four distinct resonant frequencies of 7.90, 10.74, 12.93, and 15.65 GHz. The outcome demonstrates the achievement of a polarization-insensitive MMA with a –10 dB reflection coefficient (RC) under the normal incidence. The physical understanding of the proposed structure has additionally been supported using the electric field distribution and surface current at the resonant frequencies. Moreover, the frequency-dependent normalized impedance, effective permittivity, and effective permeability values have been extracted in order to reflect the results prove the effectiveness of the structure for distinct practical electromagnetic applications.
