摘要
Approximately 40% of patients with endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia (EIN) on initial biopsy will have cancer on final pathology after hysterectomy. Identifying molecular biomarkers on diagnostic biopsy predicting high-risk tumors offers an opportunity to improve treatment planning. Proteins encoding the mismatch repair (MMR) pathway (MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2) and p53 have been evaluated as biomarkers informing prognosis, predisposition to hereditary cancer syndromes, and therapy. We examined these biomarkers in patients diagnosed with EIN after biopsy who underwent definitive surgery.
