Late Living-Donor Kidney Transplantation after Living-Donor Lobar Lung Transplantation: Two Case Reports
JOURNAL OF HEART AND LUNG TRANSPLANTATION(2024)
摘要
Introduction: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a common late complication associated with an increased mortality after lung transplantation (LT). Within 10 years after LT, approximately 9.9% of the recipients require chronic dialysis or kidney transplantation (KT) for CKD. Since dialysis patients, especially immunosuppressed transplant recipients, are susceptible to infection, late living-donor KT (LDKT) has been shown to provide excellent long-term survival for dialysis patients after LT. However, the recipients of living-donor lobar LT (LDLLT) might have limited chances to receive late LDKT for CKD due to the limited number of living-donor candidates after the previous LDLLT.
