摘要
Semiconductor quantum dots and spin qubits are actively explored as potential avenues for building quantum processors. These approaches hold the potential to capitalize on the extensive advancements made in the integrated circuit manufacturing industry over the past decades, enabling the scalability and precise control of nanofabrication processes. Nonetheless, when compared to room temperature classical computing systems, new targets are set for managing dimensional variability, density, and addressing sources of static and dynamic disorder. Bridging the gap between early ad hoc prototypes and industrial fabrication standards, we will describe in this talk the way that application-specific requirements, fundamental limitations, and the overarching vision of a large-scale architecture collectively influence the development of elementary components from a device integration standpoint.
