Fraser R. Dalgleish

Fraser R. Dalgleish received the B.Eng. (Hons.) degree in electronics and electrical engineering from the University of Edinburgh, U.K., in 1995, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in ocean engineering from Cranfield University, U.K., in 2001 and 2004, respectively. He is a Senior Scientist at L3Harris Technologies Inc., Palm Bay, FL, USA. Before joining L3Harris, he was a Research Faculty at HBOI-FAU from 2004 to 2018, where he established and directed the Ocean Visibility and Optics Laboratory (OVOL) and the Glider Research and Operations Center (GROC). He was a FAU Researcher of the Year at the Associate Professor level in 2015. He holds ten U.S. patents in the areas of undersea laser imaging, free-space optical communications, and optical remote sensing devices and techniques. His research emphasis is on undersea laser and LiDAR imaging, in situ and remote optical sensing, and undersea modem development.
