I am Principal Researcher of CONICET at Instituto Patagonico para el Estudio de los Ecosistemas Continentales (IPEEC-CONICET, currently I am the Head Director) in Puerto Madryn, Chubut, on the northern atlantic shore of Patagonia. My research is focused on systematics, taxonomy and species distribution of southern South American herpetofauna but I am interested mainly in species limits, phylogenies, bioinventories, biogeography, spatial ecology and diversity of lizards.
