Stefania Stefani

Stefania Stefani is Full Professor of Microbiology, Catania, consultant at the University and Cannizzaro Hospitals, responsible for the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology and Antibiotic Resistance. Her research interests include molecular micro and molecular typing, bacterial gene expression, in vitro studies on the antibacterial activity of new drugs, biofilm studies and mechanisms of resistance to antimicrobials. Responsible for projects funded by national or international grant agencies.
