Has a track record of designing and conducting clinical trials of novel therapies and modalities. Has obtained funding through the Dept of Defense, Prostate cancer Foundation and National Cancer Institute with a goal towards developing precision medicine/individualized therapy for each patient with cancer. Currently working on discovery of a novel cancer screening and/or early detection techniques. Dr Vaishampayan has helped develop and bring to FDA approval a number of therapies in cancer. She is a proponent of the 3 Rs in oncology; Rapidly obtaining the right drug to the right patient.
