Giovanni D'Addio

Giovanni D'Addio was born in Napoli, Italy, on February 28, 1966. He received the M.D. degree in biomedical electronic engineering from the University of Napoli Federico II, Napoli, Italy, in 1993 and the Master's degree in occupational health and safety assessment from the University Roma Tre, Rome, Italy, in 2002. From 1994 to 1998, he was a Contract Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Napoli Federico II. Since 1995, he has worked in the Biomedical Department, S. Maugeri Foundation, Rehabilitation Institute of Care and Scientific Research, Telese Terme (BN, Italy) where, since 2001, he is also responsible of the hospital occupational health and safety assessment system. He participated to several biomedical research projects in eye movements studies of nystagmus disorders, peripheral and central sensory evoked responses by tactile stimulations, electromyography and robotic rehabilitation, cardiovascular signals analysis, noninvasive autonomic evaluation by nonlinear methods of heart rate variability and heart rate turbulence, telemedicine systems. In these fields, he published more than 80 scientific papers in journals and national and international conference proceedings. Since 2007, he is a Lead OHSAS Auditor.
